Vaso Baccellato

£275.00

The terracotta half pot, ‘Baccellato’ meaning ‘pod’ refers to the raised shape decorating the pot. These beautiful, handmade terracotta half pots are so practical, they are deep enough to plant something substantial without taking up too much space, sitting perfectly against the wall.

The half-pot is particularly great for climbing plants, especially on terraces, where planting in the ground is not an option, the deep size of the pot allows for ample compost and deep rooting, ensuring the root can get the required nutrient and water for optimum growth, which is wonderful for those deep rooting plant species like Clematis and Rose.

Vaso Toscano prides itself on offering a wide range of terracotta pot styles, it is essential for ensuring every area of the garden can be both functional and beautiful, different spaces demand different proportions and shapes so gardeners or landscapers can achieve the right scale, balance, and visual rhythm across borders, terraces, pathways and entrances. Ultimately, providing many styles empowers gardeners to create cohesive, practical, and enduring outdoor environments.

Our terracotta pots are hand crafted in Tuscany from prized Galestro clay, renowned for its fine texture, strength, and natural ability to regulate moisture, qualities that make our pots both beautiful and exceptionally durable. Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans who use traditional, hand moulding methods to achieve a refined finish and consistent wall thickness, then the pots kiln-fired to over a 1000 degrees to create a frostproof and long lasting pot. This slow, traditional method of making terracotta pots takes approximately six weeks from start to finish.
