Vaso Toscano Story

About Vaso Toscano

Vaso Toscano is a family-run business and for over a decade we have been the trusted source for authentic handmade terracotta pots from Tuscany.

Owner and horticulturalist, Julie, spent many years working and exhibiting at the world famous RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows with the award winning Todd’s Botanics plant nursery. On a quest to find excellent terracotta pots for her own garden in the UK , Julie used her love and knowledge of Italy to source the perfect terracotta pots for her garden. Vaso Toscano was launched in 2015 as a passion project, through our love of Italy, horticulture and Tuscan pottery.

Throughout the year we visit our family run potteries. forging strong bonds with the craftsmen, their processes and the beautiful pieces they create. Each pot is made personally by a small team with love and care. Through these relationships, we have curated our own collection of fabulous Italian terracotta pots, vases and oil jars to suit all styles of garden.

A love of Italian and Mediterranean gardens and a desire for great design, lead us to search for classic Italian planters and vases to complement our beautiful plants and gardens.

Our search for supierior pots lead us to two places in Tuscany; Impruneta and Siena

Curated in Italy

Our quest for high quality products lead us to two places; Impruneta, near Florence, known for its fine Galestro clay and a small family run fornace in Sienna, both of which still make amazing pots by hand.

We are professional horticulturalists who can provide expert planting advice for your terracotta pots

The Vaso Toscano Collection

Over the years we have carefully curated a beautiful collection of terracotta pots to suit all styles of garden, whether contemporary or traditionally designed and each year we love to introduce one or two new designs into the Vaso collection.

Olive, bay and citrus trees look amazing in terracotta and have always been the traditional choice which has never faltered or gone out of fashion, but in theory most plants or trees can be containerised and we can provide all the help and advice you need to help make your choice.
