This wonderful trough is a striking new addition to our terracotta collection, the Cassetta Treccia is a handsome rectangular trough with a plaited rope border under the rolled rim. The smooth, sleek design of the body is finished nicely with the treccia detail giving the trough a refined, classic look that will suit any garden, terrace or balcony.

The Cassetta Treccia has generous proportions which makes it an ideal pot for hedging and screening with topiary and shrubs or a striking row of seasonal planting. Used en masse or singly, terracotta troughs have such an elegant and practical appeal in any garden.

Our terracotta pots are all made by hand in the traditional way and these particulalry impressive terracotta troughs are made in a family run pottery near Siena. The clay used to make them is called Galestro clay, known for its quality, strength and beautiful texture. Each pot is fired to over a 1000 degrees, this gives them the strength to make them frost proof and no two pieces are ever the same, a true mark of craftsmanship.

Overtime the terracotta, once planted will develop a beautiful patina adding to its character and charm.
